A lot of us assume that the microbiome which is basically trillions of microorganisms in our gut remains stable and that we do not need to replenish it. Although, on the contrary, we consume so much food within our modern lifestyle which destroys the active microbes.

The major reason being preservatives, which are used to increase the shelf-life of products by killing the active culture within the packaged food items. Having these, the chemical also affects our bacteria in the similar way and depleting our microbiome on a regular basis.

Hence we need to refill our biome reserve by having some kind of fermented food each day, like curd, sauerkraut, kefir, kombucha etc.
