Continuing yesterday’s conversation about cravings, today we talked about what does it mean if you still get cravings: 1. Insulin Resistance: Healing insulin resistance is a dynamic path, slow for some and long for some depending on how much damage has been taken by the cells. Hence, focus on having your good fats, proteins and greens, the body will slowly move towards healing it. 2. Relook your meals: If you’re getting midnight cravings or even during the day, have a relook at your last meal, did you have enough calories, enough fats, enough protein, or minerals/vitamins through greens? If not, plan your next few meals well with all the required components and soon your cravings shall disappear. 3. Stopping any specific item: Sometimes, if you were continuously having any supplement like cod liver oil/Vit D/Calcium etc or green juice, or nutritional yeast for many days and at a specific time, if you suddenly stop giving it to the body, the body still displays some signs of cravings, hence take note of that and be prepared well in advance. The first thing you should always do when you start to get cravings is have black salt. It provides some minerals that your body might be craving. When you eat the foods you crave, like refined carbs or sugary foods, your craving further increases to keep having the same kind of food. Once you get adapted to eating clean good fats, proteins and greens, you shall experience satiety which would actually satisfy your cravings instead of increasing them.
