How to activate task positive network?

This is the network of the brain that is activated when we are actively paying attention, focusing on the task at hand, using short-term memory, and in the present moment. Paying attention and observing what is going on with any of the senses activates the task-positive network. Also, being compassionate and kind, whether to oneself or others, activates the TPN.

Quick steps to activate TPN:

Make a list of small tasks, something as simple as organising something, watering plants or buying/ordering something, bring out your nutritional food/supplement and keep it at eye level. Tick off the items on this list and keep doing this at different times of the day. When TPN gets activated after accomplishing and ticking off these small things, the part of the brain which induces worry gets shut down. It is similar to activating your parasympathetic nervous system by doing and ticking off small things.

Another great suggestion is to make a common Whatsapp group between your family/people you live with to put in tasks that need to be done, so you don’t have to remember it and it takes off the pressure off you that only you have to complete it, anybody in family can do it.
