Makhana Gond Ladoo
Ingredients
1. Makhana/Fox nuts/Lotus seeds – 3 cups
2. Desiccated coconut – 1 cup
3. Sweetener, Xylitol, Erythritol or Stevia
4. Sesame seeds – 1/2 cup
5. Gond/edible gum – 1/3 cup
6. Ghee/Clarified butter – 3 tbsp
7. Dry ginger powder – 1 tsp
8. Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp

8. Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
How to make it Healthier
1. Do not use sugar/jaggery, skip the sweetener or use a low Glycemic load sweetener only.
2. Do not binge eat on these, although low, they still have a considerable amount of carbs.

Instructions

1. Heat pan on low heat, add sesame seeds and roast until golden brown. Keep aside.
2. Roast dessicated coconut until light brown.
3. Add half of edible gum in 1 tbsp ghee heated on pan, fry until it becomes puffy. Keep aside.
4. Fry the other half with 1 tbsp ghee until puffy. Keep aside.
5. Roast makhana until light brown and crispy. Transfer to a bowl and let cool.
6. Crush the gond and keep aside.
7. Grind the sesame seeds coarsely. Separately grind makhana as well.
8. Add these two together, add gond and dessicated coconut, cardamom powder and ginger powder.
9. Add sweetener and mix well.
10. Grind this mixture a little again. And make small ladoos out of the mixture.
